NEW TRAILER: RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

YEAH MONKEYS! Monkeys are cool, except when they gain super intelligence and rise up against humans, then they are not so cool. The first trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes just dropped. What are my initial thoughts? What a long-ass title for a movie, couldn't they think of anything shorter? Anyways, this is the reboot of the 2001 reboot of the 1968 original Planet of the Apes. Synopsis:

An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

Can someone please tell me how I am suppose to believe that a bunch of monkeys overthrow humans as the dominant species? Sure monkeys have super-retard strength, but come on, we are packin' heat here. What are monkeys fighting with? Poo and rocks? Has no one seen King Kong? Humans can handle a monkey problem.

Anyways... logic be damned. If this movie does well expect Rise of the Planet of the Apes two and three, with even longer titles. 

Is it just me, or do you see the right-wing radical Christians getting their undies in a bunch over this one? The whole smart monkey/evolution thing? Just a thought.
